Q: What type of books do you publish?

A: We publish non-fiction books (How To, Instructional, Personal Development, Life-Lessons, Diet and Exercise, Self-Help, etc), specific to your industry or area of expertise to position you as a trusted authority in your genre.

Q: How much do you pay in royalties?

A: We pay a generous 50% of the profits after all other associated costs have been deducted. Please note, the costs we are referring to are for printing and distribution, etc and are not charged to you but as part of the ‘Print on Demand’ service we offer. You will not have to buy stocks of books, cluttering up your house, because book printing will be in direct proportion to book sales.

Here’s an example of what you can expect to be paid as a royalty (these represent an example only and are not an accurate assessment of book sales). Let’s assume your book retails at £14.99 (book trade prices will vary and sales in other countries will fluctuate greatly) and the costs are approx. £5, this leaves a balance of approx. £9.99, for which the author will get a 50% royalty payment. Obviously book retailers will buy books from FHP at their normal wholesale discount, which we’ll factor in when it comes time to pay royalties.

Q: Do you accept unsolicited manuscripts?

Having said that, there is still good money to be made by having your own book if you have the backing, distribution and right publisher behind you. Q: If I’ve already written my book and self-published it, can I still publish through FHP?

A: Possibly? It depends where you are in the process and what distribution and marketing you have in place already. Drop us an email and we can chat about it.

A: We accept all major credit and debit cards. You can pay online or over the phone. We also accept BACs if you prefer.
